  • Advanced cardiac program offers minimally invasive procedures, TAVR, CABG, robotic surgery, lung procedures and more.
  • Four PA team supports three talented surgeons.
  • Responsibilities include first assist, post-op care with ICU management, and clinic.
  • Monday – Friday schedule with 1:3 call.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
  • Two years of CT surgery PA experience preferred.
  • Position-specific knowledge and skills required:
    • Proficient with saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic) and tube thoracostomy
    • Management of ventilators and critically ill patients
    • In-depth knowledge of and experience in titrating inotropic and pressor medications
    • Efficient with placement of central lines, arterial lines (femoral, radial), Swan-Ganz catheters, and chest tubes
  • Unrestricted NC Physician Assistant license, NC DEA, and ACLS certification through AHA required.
