A fast-expanding consumer products organization. The business serves a broad customer base through high-volume transactional activity, and is part of a larger global enterprise with significant reach, diversified revenue streams, and ongoing investment into adjacent growth verticals. The broader platform continues to expand into new specialty categories while strengthening operational infrastructure and financial rigor across its subsidiaries.

This role will serve as the financial leader responsible for elevating the accounting function, modernizing systems, and establishing a strong controls environment. The Controller will guide the business through key milestones—most critically the shift from cash to accrual accounting, the implementation of its future ERP, and the buildout of SOX-ready processes—while providing day-to-day leadership and strategic partnership across the organization.

• Direct all core accounting activities, including oversight of the ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and period-end processes.
• Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate results, reconciliations, and GAAP-aligned financial reporting.
• Drive the transition from cash-basis to accrual-basis accounting, ensuring technical accuracy and clean comparability.
• Establish internal controls, document processes, and prepare the business for SOX readiness ahead of required deadlines.
• Manage budgeting cycles, reforecasts, and liquidity planning to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights tied to margins, performance trends, and business initiatives.
• Serve as the main point of contact for external audits, providing required schedules and guiding completion.
• Lead the migration from Quick Books to Net Suite and support process redesign to improve scalability.
• Develop, mentor, and strengthen the accounting team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience at Director of Accounting level and above
• Strong technical accounting background with deep knowledge of GAAP.
• Hands-on experience converting cash-basis accounting to accrual-basis reporting.
• Proven ability to build internal controls and prepare an organization for SOX compliance.
• ERP implementation or migration experience;
  Net Suite exposure strongly preferred.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (eCommerce, retail, distribution, or related industries a plus).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operational and executive stakeholders.
