We are actively seeking a Mammography Tech in Training who is currently enrolled in an accredited mammography program and eager to develop hands-on imaging skills within our team. This unique opportunity provides clinical training and mentorship with experienced imaging professionals, ensuring that you gain the expertise needed to excel in breast imaging while preparing for a long-term career at First Health.

From your clinical rotations to your professional transition, our goal is to welcome you as a member of the First Health team.

• Participate in clinical rotations at First Health facilities, working directly with our imaging professionals
• Assist in performing mammography exams and invasive breast imaging procedures under direct supervision
• Train to operate mammography equipment, imaging software, and image management systems
• Observe and implement quality control procedures on equipment and imaging techniques
• Develop a deep understanding of imaging selections and their impact on diagnostic quality
• Adhere to First Health policies, procedures, and radiology safety standards
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to ensure a seamless imaging experience
• Explore cross-training opportunities in diagnostic imaging, including Emergency Department imaging
• Participate in weekend and shift rotations as required for training purposes

• ARRT registered RT-(R)
• BLS certification
• Currently enrolled in an accredited mammography program
• Strong interest in breast imaging and radiology
• Physical capability to stand, assist patients, and perform repetitive tasks
• Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Developing critical thinking and decision-making abilities relevant to mammography
• Familiarity with personal computers and medical imaging software
