Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy
First Health of the Carolinas, Moore Regional Hospital, is in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Our inpatient pharmacy is seeking an overnight clinical pharmacist to provide exceptional patient care.
This position offers full time benefits and a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule (10 hour shifts). The pharmacy department is highly automated utilizing Epic EMR, Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets and I.V workflow management systems. The overnight team is composed of two pharmacists and two technicians.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include order verification, initiation and follow up of pharmacokinetic monitoring, and assisting providers with antibiotic selection and drug information.
Thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals and contemporary pharmacy practice is required. The clinical pharmacist must complete organize activities that are executed via established procedures and techniques within the pharmacy department. Attention to detail is required to ensure proper interpretation of clinical information. The clinical pharmacists manage a fast paced and high-volume workload and stressful situations, prioritize tasks, and follow through to see that all tasks are completed.
The clinical pharmacist will maintain professional competency appropriate to the services provided and attend to the needs of all populations served. Interpersonal communication skills are imperative to effectively communicate with both our professional customers and patients utilizing our services. The position reports to the director of pharmacy operations and oversees pharmacy technicians.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy and currently licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
Pharmacists must acquire sufficient continuing education credits to maintain license. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a pharmacy residency or have equivalent experience.
