First Health of the Carolinas – a private, not-for-profit premier health care network serving the mid-Carolinas - is seeking a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to provide inpatient coverage one to two weekends per month.

• Hospital employed (W-2) PRN position.
• 30 bed adult inpatient unit with average daily census in the mid-20s, shared between providers.
• Round on patients in the unit and provide hospital and ED consults.
• Excellent clinician collaboration, supportive environment.
• Within an hour of Raleigh, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Lumberton, and Laurinburg. About two hours from Charlotte.

• PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification.
• May consider an experienced NP with both FNP and PMHNP certifications.
• Strongly prefer 2+ years of advanced practice experience in behavioral health.
• Clean background NC licensure, NC DEA, and AHA ACLS certification required.
