Responsibilities
Paramedics in the telemedicine program will care for patients at home or in other non-urgent settings outside of the hospital, under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice provider. Responsibilities include drawing blood for testing, starting IVs, and administering medications as directed by the physician or advanced practice provider.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED and an Associate's degree.
- Current NC Paramedic Certification or obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA.
- Certification in ITLS or PHTLS;
Specialty Care Transport Paramedic credentialing required within six months. - Valid NC driver’s license with a good driving history; at least 1 year of full-time experience in a high-volume EMS service.
