Seeking Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to join our outpatient clinic. This position focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, but the caseload may include patients with generalized weakness and balance issues. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in the orthopedic field and will be passionate about delivering evidence-based and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, balance issues, and generalized weakness
- Provide hands-on therapy using a range of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
- Document patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
- Collaborate with the primary therapist as well as physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
- Work closely with a large team of experienced Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Occupational Therapists
- Educate patients and families about their conditions
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
- Participate in continuous professional development
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- A minimum of three years of PTA experience working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic
- Current NC PTA license
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
