Phlebotomist role at First Health of the Carolinas. Performs phlebotomy on in-patients and out-patients, on all age groups for a variety of lab tests.
Responsibilities- Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as urine specimens from all age groups, for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.
- These samples are used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides specimen collection information to nursing, patients and family members as appropriate.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program that includes phlebotomy, or a minimum of 6 months full time experience in phlebotomy.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
