Phlebotomy Supervisor

Phlebotomy Supervisor role at First Health of the Carolinas — responsible for oversight and day-to-day management of the phlebotomy team.

Location:

Southern Pines, NC. Salary range: $18.60-$21.30 per hour.

• Plan and organize phlebotomy workflow and ensure quality patient care.
• Effectively manage operations to meet the expected turnaround time for collections.
• Promote teamwork and serve as a positive influence on the morale of the team.
• Troubleshoot and analyze processes to improve quality and efficiencies.
• Interview, hire and train new employees.
• Ensure all phlebotomists are competent in blood-drawing procedures and that techniques are performed according to standards.
• Assist with developing policies and procedures.
• Coach and perform employee evaluations.
• Prepare employee schedules.

Associate in Medical Laboratory Technology with experience in phlebotomy, or High School graduation with successful completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program with Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP or equivalent). A minimum of 3 years experience required.
