• Patient Care:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals orally, by injection, or inhalation.
  • Start patient IVs.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients, answer their questions, and ensure their comfort.
  • Position patients appropriately for scanning.
• Technical Duties:
  • Conduct NM studies such as Nuclear Stress Tests, Bone Scans, HIDA Scans, Lung Scans, Thyroid Scans, Liver Scans, and Brain Scans.
  • Prepare facilities according to procedural requirements and calibrate equipment as needed.
  • Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals used, received, and disposed of per physician’s prescriptions.
  • Perform computer processing and imaging enhancement.
  • Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation.
• Quality Control:
  Monitor the department's daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control (QC) under NRC guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental protocols and safety standards.
• Collaboration:
  • Work in an environment that prioritizes exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with a supportive management team.
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation and communication.

• Education and Certification:
  • Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine through NMTCB or ARRT.
  • Basic bhires card card? oh sorry - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Experience:
  • Training and experience in conducting various NM studies, including Nuclear Stress Tests, Bone Scans, HIDA Scans, Lung Scans, Thyroid Scans, Liver Scans, and Brain Scans.
• Skills:
  • Strong technical skills in preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating NM equipment.
  • Excellent patient care skills, including the ability to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.
  • Proficiency in computer processing and imaging enhancement.
  • Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
