We are seeking an Electronic Imaging Technician to join our team and play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care.
Shift Information: The successful candidate will work various rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- Customer Service:
Utilize excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients and other professionals; greet, receive, and direct customers for various activities throughout the department; respond to customer needs and communicate special needs to the appropriate technologist. - Imaging and Clerical Duties:
Operate imaging file room equipment and perform clerical functions; access reports, images, and other patient data via EPIC, PACS, or other related software systems; fulfill requests for images by utilizing Power Share or copying exams to a CD; utilize a CD burner to import images and send to PACS or print films upon request; ensure necessary images are available for surgical procedures;
provide clinical information to requesting physicians/offices within HIPAA guidelines; hang films for radiologist interpretation.
- Education: High school graduate or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
- Skills and Experience: Basic knowledge of computers required; medical terminology preferred; previous healthcare experience preferred; experience in radiology and PACS preferred.
