What You Do

Our Golf Operation is a high-performing, service-focused team committed to delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests. The golf team manages all aspects of daily operations with a focus on leadership, hospitality, and continuous improvement—ensuring every detail reflects Forest Creek’s standards of quality and community. As our Lead Assistant Golf Professional, you will lead our golf operations with excellence. This role calls for a confident leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills, capable of inspiring both staff and delivering outstanding service to our members.

As a key figure in the golf department, the Lead Assistant will assist the Golf Leadership team to oversee daily operations, support strategic initiatives, and step in seamlessly to support leadership in their absence. This position plays a vital role in shaping the golf experience at Forest Creek through close collaboration with the entire club’s team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Golf Leadership team in leading the team and delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests.
  • Plan and execute tournaments with attention to scheduling, budgeting, and member communication.
  • Enhance instructional programs and retail operations through strategic planning and service improvements.
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence, mentor staff, enforce club policies, and foster a culture of hospitality and professionalism.
Leadership and Teamwork
  • Model professionalism and leadership by setting a positive example for the team.
  • Foster a respectful, motivating culture through coaching, communication, and collaboration.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with staff through fair and engaged management.
  • Effectively delegate tasks and provide timely, constructive feedback to encourage growth.
  • Oversee scheduling and maintain a reliable, hands‑on presence to support daily operations.
What You Bring
  • PGA Class “A” Member in good standing, previous private club experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in organizing and executing golf tournaments and instructional programs – a main component of the role.
  • Proven ability to foster a welcoming, community‑focused environment through hospitality and professionalism.
  • Experience in curating consistent service and operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of daily golf operations, including shop management, policy enforcement, and service standards.
  • Skilled in retail operations, including special orders, inventory management, and merchandise presentation.
  • Proficiency in managing tee sheets, club systems (e.g., Club Essential), and reconciling daily transactions.
  • Ability to maintain a visible, engaging presence on the course and range, building rapport with members and playing golf with all categories of member.
  • Leadership experience supporting senior management and driving a high‑quality golf experience.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience in cross‑departmental coordination.
  • Strategic thinking in enhancing instructional and retail programs to elevate member experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to build a respectful, high-performing team culture.
  • Effective in delegating tasks, providing feedback, and managing staff.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hands‑on approach to daily operations and team leadership.
  • Ability to lead by example and serve as a role model for professionalism and club standards.
  • Handle and move bags and supplies efficiently and safely, including frequent lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
