FirstStaff Float Pool RN

Overview

Will be responsible for providing an internal nursing resource for unplanned staffing needs due to vacancies, leave of absences, patient census, patient acuity and employee call-ins.

First Staff RN Resources will consist of two levels of clinical knowledge. Both levels are expected to work across all acute care locations of First Health.

• Level 1: Med/Surg, Intermediate Care, Outpatient, Surgical Admissions Unit, Women & Children Services.
• Level 2: Critical Care, Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, PACU

• Minimum of 2 years current full time acute care experience required in clinical area.
• Current NC RN license.
• Line-Safety certifications in BCLS, PALS and/or ACLS or other applicable specialty area certifications required.
• To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with First Health of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.
