American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring fresh open heart experience and prior travel assignment history.

• Work in the Cardiothoracic ICU (CVT
  - Cardiovascular-Thoracic ICU) of a hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 7p-7a)
• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:4
• Epic charting system experience required

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required
• Fresh open heart experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Experienced in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory suctioning
• Proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation
• Experience with CABG, post cardiac surgery care, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and LVAD/RVAD management
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Swan Ganz monitoring and sheath removal

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac surgery and cardiovascular ICU patients, including fresh post-op open heart cases
• Facility performs its own pre-employment drug screen upon arrival in addition to standard credentialing requirements
• No RTO accommodations during major holiday weeks
• Candidates residing in Moore County are not eligible for travel pay rates
• Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to be considered for contract positions
