* SALARY: $53,643 – $66,539.

Establishes and monitors the Range Safety Program; provides input for long‑range plans and programs to ensure facilities are forecasted and provided in a timely manner. Monitors state and federal equipment, coordinates required preventative maintenance and repairs. Plans, coordinates, supervises and directs day‑to‑day range support activities. Coordinates manning for all range firing missions monthly, ensures approval and allocation, and provides customer safety briefings, range supplies, maps and other support documents.

Acts as liaison between units/organizations using the Camp Beauregard Range Training Complex. Collects customer satisfaction data, reports feedback, provides customer service, serves as the central point for coordination of all activities within the installation training complex and Esler Airfield to ensure safety and unified operations. Approves, controls and monitors personnel access into the installation training complex. Assists in all range scheduling activities, maintains current maps and overlays of the training complex impact area boundaries, danger zone diagrams and ground hazards, coordinates safety issues with appropriate installation staff, determines work assignments for maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of automated and non‑automated ranges, supports RFMSS files and maintains historical danger zone and safety data.

Ensures all OIC, NCOIC and RSO’s receive baseline education on facility operation and emergency procedures. Coordinates with engineering staff for maintenance, develops and publishes range operating procedures, assists the Range Management Authority and Range Operations Officer in monitoring RTLP and ITAM budgets, coordinates clearance of UXO, coordinates with state forestry and environmental personnel for land maintenance, ensures all WMA stations and social media accounts are updated monthly, ensures safety markings, lighting and signage are maintained, supervises construction and preventive maintenance on all structures, and performs other duties as assigned.

Also responsible for bi‑weekly payroll, annual employee reviews and other supervisory duties.

Must complete Range Operations Professional Development (ROPD) Range Operations Course and Level 2 Range Safety Course every 5 years; attend RFMSS training; possess working knowledge of computers, write programs for changing qualification standards, know Surface Danger Zones, have interpersonal skills to deconflict usage with DOD and Non‑DOD agencies, hold a valid driver’s license (preferred CDL Class

A), communicate well with customer units, determine repair part requirements, obtain quotes, complete purchase approval forms, account for tools and equipment, have an RCAS account or ability to obtain one, communicate range safety directives to all levels including civilians, prepare routine correspondence and drafts for approval, and coordinate support requirements for all customers of the complex.

• Must qualify to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be available to report to duty during emergency or disaster situations. Other periodic travel may be required.
• Must meet physical requirements to perform functions of the position.
• Must attend and complete all Louisiana Military Department (LMD) annual training and other required training.
