Overview

PINECREST SUPPORTS & SERVICES CENTER, located in PINEVILLE, LA, is seeking applicants for a SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR. There are 2 positions available. This position is needed to cover active treatment within an Intensive Care Facility and will support the provision of special education services to meet the legally mandated educational needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities that impede educational and/or behavioral performance.

• Provide special education services to meet the educational needs of students with disabilities.
• Support active treatment within an Intensive Care Facility.
• Plan, organize, and provide rigorous, engaging instructional experiences across academics, communication, vocational, motor, self-help, and social subject matter.
• Track student progress, reflect on outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies to promote academic growth.

• Special Education certified instructor (Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel, Bulletin 746).
• Ability to plan and implement rigorous instructional experiences aligned with COMPASS teaching rubric components.
