Overview
Job Title: Accountant
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and support various administrative functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze asset, liability, and capital account entries.
- Document and verify financial transactions.
- Generate financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other summaries.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare special financial reports by analyzing trends and account information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Maintain internal controls and recommend improvements to policies and procedures.
- Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
- File sales tax reports and manage payments.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and financial discrepancies.
- Enter and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Manage database backups and ensure financial data security.
- Process payments and verify supporting documentation.
- Prepare payroll and manage all payroll-related tasks.
- Handle HR responsibilities including compliance and employee support.
- Assist with 401(k) administration and benefits coordination.
- Manage the inventory system and guide staff through procedures.
- Assist with facility operations and security protocols.
- Support insurance management to ensure adequate coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and FASB standards.
- Proficiency in Quick Books, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong math skills and data entry management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently or as part of a team.
