Prepared Food Lead – Walmart

This role is a prepared foods and café department lead that drives sales and supervises hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations.

$24.00/hr – $32.00/hr

• Supervise the team across all prepared foods departments (e.g., café, rotisserie, and prepared foods) by facilitating rotations, managing members’ needs, and contributing to overall club success.
• Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and company.
• Maintain an in‑depth knowledge of floor and back‑room operations, ensuring quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance.
• Manage seasonality in production, understand new products and processes, prioritize time across areas, collaborate with associates and third parties, and share knowledge to train the team.
• Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
• Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain a clean and safe work area, manage staffing levels, and meet audit and compliance standards.
• Display merchandise according to the layout plan, engage with other departments and third‑party partners, and ensure operational continuity.
• Teach and train the team, identify training needs, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent.
• Develop, communicate, and implement processes for business needs, analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvement opportunities.
• Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; guide and demonstrate their application.
• Lead and participate in teams using resources, information, and tools; coordinate work assignments and model adaptation to change.

Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

• Experience supervising a team.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
