• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within company‑specified time frames.

• Must attend occasional off‑site meetings.

The Assistant Manager works closely with the Club Manager to ensure an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high‑performing staff of Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Supervise scheduling and ensure employee issues are resolved or escalated when necessary.
• Oversee front desk activities such as answering phones, checking members in, processing new member sign‑ups, facilitating member requests, and handling prospective member tours.
• Maintain cleanliness and facility maintenance.
• Order supplies within the club budget and track inventory.
• Track statistics and reports weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Provide backup support for any employee who is absent.

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Experience as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
• Solid supervisory, diplomatic and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Hardworking, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Strong problem‑resolution skills.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within company‑specified time frames.
• Must obtain Tanning Certification within company‑specified time frames.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Work performed indoors; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.
• Requires sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate equipment.
• Requires verbal communication skills in person or on the phone.
• Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in an emergency.
• Vision: normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hearing: normal audio range with or without correction.
