Manufacturing Engineer – Programmer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing production processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate will have Manufacturing Engineering experience in a job shop environment utilizing CNC equipment and assembly processes. Proficiency in Mastercam programming for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines is required.

• Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost, and quality.
• Develop CNC programs for mills and lathes and create routings for manufactured parts.
• Collaborate with skilled machinists and support personnel to develop efficient and effective processes.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing systems, layouts, tools, and fixtures.
• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and minimize downtime.
• Create and improve quality standards for new and existing products, including routings, tooling, fixture specifications, and CNC programs.
• Ensure tooling and fixtures are ordered and available for production.
• Optimize and debug CNC machining centers, turning, and multi-tasking machine tool paths and post-processor development.

• High School Diploma with 10+ years of manufacturing experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
• Experience with ERP/MRP software.
• Exposure to ISO 9001 audits and procedures.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines and budgets.
• A proactive mindset for identifying and implementing efficiency and quality improvements.
