Hartzell Propeller is the leading manufacturer of aircraft propeller systems for general aviation, supplying systems for aircraft manufacturers and modifiers worldwide. We are located in Piqua, Ohio, a small-town community within easy drive of Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

• Operate machine tools or special purpose machines to machine metal parts to required specifications
• Run standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines
• Contact Manufacturing Services to troubleshoot process problems
• Change perishable tooling when required
• Install new tool holders
• Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines
• Follow inspection plans to inspect parts
• Communicate to co-workers on status of cell operations
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Troubleshoot tooling as required
• Work holding (fixturing–chucking)

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

• 1-3 years of machinist experience

Technical Skills

• Machining experience
• Millturn & multi‑axis machines
• Swiss machines
• Integrex and Mazak desired
• Competency in machining skills
• Tooling
• Fixturing
• Chucking
• Work holding
• Programming preferred
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
