Overview
Production Operator role at Hartzell Propeller. Hartzell Propeller is the leading manufacturer of aircraft propeller systems for general aviation, supplying propeller systems for aircraft manufacturers and modifiers around the world. We are a small, team-oriented company where individual contributions are encouraged and recognized. Located in Piqua, Ohio, about 25 miles north of Dayton, a community of 22,000 with a friendly small-town atmosphere and easy access to Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati.
Responsibilities- Production Operator responsibilities vary by assignment within our manufacturing facility and may include work in Paint, De-Ice, Assembly, Composite and other departments.
- Support prop builders and pack products for shipment.
- Intricate deburring, sanding, and cleaning of complex shapes.
- Entry-level equipment maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
- Disassembly, degrease, media blast, and cleaning of propeller components.
- Prepping, painting, and de-masking of propeller components.
- Layup, sewing and soldering of deice boot material.
- Picking and packing of small parts; boxing and crating propeller systems.
- Read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions.
- Accurately hand place composite material patterns over foam cores, precision molds, or other work pieces.
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary for the operation’s success.
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or GED required; experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
Technical Competencies:

- Experience with Process Standards – ability to read, understand and execute written instructions.
- Computer Skills – experience entering and retrieving data from a computer.
