Asset Protection Specialist

Overview

The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in the assigned store(s).

• Identify incidents of theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor the store's physical security, audit Electronic Article Surveillance, and drive a shrink-elimination culture in the store.
• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, and interact with law enforcement.
• Testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates while supporting store objectives.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and to communicate effectively with law enforcement and store leadership.
