Report In Location - 401 W US Route 36 E, Piqua OH 45356
Job Responsibilities- Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, installation, and repair of electrical equipment (e.g., switches, receptacles, light fixtures, small motors, wiring, fire alarms, fans, electrical circuits).
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation, and repair of plumbing equipment (e.g., sewer pipes, fixtures, toilets, sinks, valves, heating & air conditioning systems).
- Performs carpentry work involving maintenance, alteration, and repair of buildings, equipment, and wood structures (e.g., windows, doors, floors, roofs, walls).
- Performs basic painting tasks, including surface preparation and painting of walls, ceilings, and cabinets.
- Makes repairs on various equipment and small appliances (e.g., generators, lawn tractors, power washers).
- Operates state vehicle to transport equipment, tools, and supplies across the state or to repair facilities.
- Performs minor custodial duties such as cleaning carpets, dusting, and restroom sanitation.
- Performs exterior groundskeeping duties like mowing, trimming, raking leaves, and snow removal.
- Performs minor maintenance on Division vehicles (e.g., oil changes, tire replacements).
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned, including supply requisitions.
- Formal education in arithmetic and basic English skills.
- Six months of training or experience in maintenance and repair work (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, use of hand and power tools).
- Valid commercial driver’s license required if operating regulated motor equipment.
Equivalent qualifications may substitute for experience, but not for licensure. Valid driver’s license required to operate state vehicle.
