Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Administrative Assistant for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) program within the School of Arts and Sciences.
The Administrative Assistant provides high level administrative support to the EOF Program and the leadership team. This position reports to the Senior Department Administrator Supervisor, the Administrative Assistant works independently with minimal supervision, within established work parameters, with few direct instructions.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Processes various administrative documents and internal and state databases.
* Assists with department wide-events, programs, marketing, and staff trainings.
* Provides support to students, faculty, and staff that need assistance with program wide information.
* Performs various tasks related to procurement, HR, and financial transactions.
* Creates routine informational materials.
* Arranges meetings and associated logistics, provide information, greet, and direct visitors to proper destinations, organize schedules, make appointments and reservations, maintain records and files, prepare supply orders.
* Monitors daily staff attendance, supervises work study students and student colleagues.
* Carries out routine and non-routine tasks with occasional review of work outputs by supervisor.
* Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative/office management principles and practices and a good understanding, use, and application of concepts, theories, principles, practices, terminology, and applied bases of departmental administration and program coordination.
