Athletic Academic Advisor

Rutgers University is hiring an Athletic Academic Advisor for the Academic Support Services department. The advisor provides academic guidance to student athletes, ensures compliance with NCAA rules, collaborates with coaches to plan support services, manages related data, and participates in recruitment activities.

• Provide academic advisement and monitor student athletes’ progress according to NCAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with coaches and athletic departments to enhance support services for student athletes.
• Manage data collection and information distribution related to student athlete academic performance.
• Participate in student athlete recruitment activities.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and university academic standards required.
• Familiarity with database systems and ability to learn new office systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in educational counseling, psychology, sociology, student personnel services, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Salary range from $68,278 to $100,509 annually with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, and paid leave.
