RN - Nurse Lead, Step Down Unit, Part Time, Night Shift

Provides unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Supervises nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional judgment to deliver cost-effective, safe, and positive patient outcomes. Focuses on improving patient experience and safety, fostering a culture of patient- and family-centered care, and addressing operational and care quality issues.

• Supervises and directs staff activities, assesses staffing needs, and manages workload based on patient acuity.
• Participates in developing care plans and conducts rounds to engage with patients and families.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates staff schedules, evaluates performance, and handles hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintains department safety, equipment, and cleanliness, and manages resource allocation within budget.
• Performs other related duties to support unit operations and patient care excellence.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practice state; BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent;
  Master’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills, with the ability to foster team collaboration and improve patient satisfaction.
