Security Officer Part Time

Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Surveillance Security Officer!

Ready to suit up as a Surveillance Security Guard? What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail. As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalation in environments such as a security operations center, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

  15 hours per week
  • Friday 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Competitive hourly wage of $19 / hour (Daily Pay is available for Garda World employees!)

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Provide documentation of high school diploma or GED
• Have a driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
• Pass an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent focus abilities
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is an advantage
• Possess a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32‑hour BSIS security trainings (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process)
