Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer at Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel in Pittsburg, KS to maintain the integrity of the facility and support our core values of Fun, Friendly and Community.

• Maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and kitchen equipment to ensure facility operations and guest satisfaction.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain the physical structure, building exterior and curb appeal, including snow removal, lawn care and painting.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Hazcom and all safety and environmental regulations and maintain all MSDS sheets and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the Chief Engineer and other department staff to coordinate work and report progress.
• Assist with the general upkeep of the facilities, including fire and life safety equipment and grounds, parking, lighting systems and controls.
• Participate on the property Safety Committee and perform other duties as assigned by the department.

• Motivated individual with strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience maintaining major mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment and electrical controls.
• Knowledge of fire and life‑safety systems and ability to conduct safety inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineering staff.
• Physical ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces, shifts, nights, weekends and overtime as required.
• Ability to calculate figures, interpret technical instructions and maintain accurate records.
