Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Responsibilities
Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.Recommend bakery or deli items to customers.Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.Prepare foods according to food safety logs and cooking instructions.Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.Check product quality and review "sell by" dates.Properly use kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.Maintain inventory and stock levels.Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.Understand store layout and locate products for customers.Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal items.Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions and suggestions.Monitor and maintain proper temperatures and logs.Create a welcoming environment for customers, ensuring they feel valued.Follow all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.Inspect and maintain equipment, notifying management of repairs needed.Report customer or employee accidents.Work effectively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.Manage conflicts cooperatively and professionally.Handle customer and business information with honesty and integrity.Follow directions and seek help when needed.Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualifications
