Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. They greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments.

• Greet customers and assess their needs, actively offering assistance and information to support product recommendations and project sales.
• Learn about products using company tools and provide accurate information to help customers make purchasing decisions.
• Qualify customers, recommend solutions, and close sales within their department and in adjacent areas as needed.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete required safety training, promptly correct hazards or report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty, and work safely to protect yourself, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Collaborate with the Department Supervisor and other associates within and across departments.
• Operate across store departments as needed (examples may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental).
