Summary
The boring locator position is responsible for assisting the boring machine operator in drilling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct daily safety briefings.
- Maintain safe working conditions at all times.
- Maintain condition, functionality and use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Locate with accuracy using a beacon to assist machine operators laying line or rods.
- Travel as required for jobs to ensure project management is on schedule.
- Remain on call 24/7 for UP and KDOT issues.
