Healthcare Solutions Assurance Manager

Assurance Manager - Healthcare Solutions Pittsburgh area Salary : $120,000.

- $  + BonusQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

At least 5 years of experience in public accounting focusing on audit/assurance services.

Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and cash basis tax accounting for healthcare organizations.

Experience in Healthcare & Continuing Care Communities highly preferred.

Knowledge of HUD, Cost Reporting, and GAGAS is a plus.

Proficiency in accounting and auditing standards.

Prior experience in overseeing personnel and engagements.

Excellent research, writing, verbal communication, and presentation abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Familiarity with Single Audits is advantageous.

Working knowledge of accounting and auditing software is necessary.

CPA certification is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES Manage Compilations, Reviews, Yellowbook Auditing, Write-Up work, and GAAP Auditing tasks.

Lead all assigned engagements, including team assignment, job planning, and scheduling in consultation with engagement Principal and assurance leadership.

Analyze and assess client's internal controls, prepare or review work program and time budget for approval by a principal.

Support team members through training, guidance, and constructive feedback on work papers.

Discuss significant engagement findings with Principal or assurance group leadership that may involve accounting principles or financial statement presentation.

Prepare or review financial statements, notes, schedules, management letters, and tax returns for discussion with the client by Manager or director.

Evaluate each supervised team member's performance and discuss the assessment before submitting to the Principal.

Participate in educational programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

Monitor the budget during the engagement and notify the principal if time exceeds the specified budget.

Identify additional work areas beyond the engagement scope, estimate time required, and obtain client's approval before starting the work.

Assist new businesses with entity selection and software implementation.

Maintain technical and professional competence by staying updated on professional pronouncements.

Contribute to team members’ performance evaluations.

Collaborate closely with clients and team members to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services efficiently.

Understanding of tax accounting concepts relevant to the Healthcare Industry.

Ensure client and team satisfaction through open communication, meeting deadlines, and sharing tax-saving strategies proactively.

Work with Partners, Directors, Senior Managers, and staff on client management, professional development, and business expansion activities.

Supervise and guide associate and senior associate team members in managing responsibilities and deadlines on client engagements.

Develop skills to attract new clients, market the company's services, and enhance business with existing clients.

Stay informed about legislative or professional changes and consult clients on potential impacts.

Participate in client development through networking events and represent the firm professionally in the business community.
