Renovation Supervisor

Vincentian Collaborative System (VCS)

Lead projects. Support our facilities. Make a difference.

Vincentian is looking for an experienced and dependable Renovation Supervisor to lead our Renovation Team and oversee renovation and small construction projects across multiple VCS locations. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who enjoys leading a team, coordinating projects, solving problems, and maintaining safe, high-quality environments.

Working closely with the Executive Director of Facilities and Support Services, Project Manager, Safety Manager, and facility leadership, you’ll help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable healthcare and childcare facility requirements.

What You’ll Do

As the Renovation Supervisor, you’ll coordinate projects from planning through completion while providing leadership and support to the Renovation Team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and supervise the Renovation Team, providing direction and guidance on renovation, construction, and repair projects.
  • Coordinate renovation projects with facility administrators, nursing directors, maintenance managers, department leaders, and other key personnel.
  • Schedule, assign, and delegate work orders across multiple locations, sometimes managing projects at more than one facility simultaneously.
  • Develop project timelines and communicate work schedules, updates, and changes to team members and facility personnel.
  • Plan for project materials, supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate access to utilities and provide advance notice of shutdowns, service interruptions, or other activities that may affect facility operations.
  • Work with facility staff and outside vendors when projects involve existing building systems or specialized services.
  • Ensure all materials and construction methods are appropriate for licensed healthcare and childcare environments.
  • Maintain safe work areas that minimize disruption to residents, staff, children, and other building occupants.
  • Protect the safety and integrity of buildings, utilities, and facility systems throughout renovation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA standards, fire and life safety requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure team members follow established safety procedures.
  • Maintain Vincentian-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
  • Travel between VCS locations as needed to oversee projects and assess work requirements.
  • Recognize projects that exceed the Renovation Team’s capabilities or scope and consult with the Safety Manager or Executive Director of Facilities and Support Services as appropriate.
  • Use electronic devices and work order systems to receive, create, and manage assignments.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade or vocational school degree or certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading construction, renovation, or related projects preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other regulated healthcare setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of renovation and construction methods used in healthcare facilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 70, and other applicable safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and construction plans.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal…
