Job Description AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA.Job Details:

Complete conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final designs of new bridges and other structures

Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components in accordance with applicable codes and standards

Conduct analysis and rehabilitation design of existing bridges

Prepare and review engineering design calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications

Coordinate with project managers and senior engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements, budget, and schedule

Interpret and apply federal and state design standards and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance on publicly funded infrastructure projects

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer, or in a related occupation.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field of study with no experience.

Experience and skills can be gained in pursuit of a university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently. Position requires experience in the following:

MS Office Suite Preparation of construction cost estimatesCADD software including Micro Station, AutoCAD, and Open Bridge Design  software including RCPIER, STAAD, and Csi Bridge Industry -standard Design Codes including AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications Department of Transportation Design Requirements, including BD’s, BC’s, and DM-4

Department of Transportation Design Software, including PSLRFD, STLRFD, BXLRFD, and BPLRFDSteel Girder Design and the AISC Steel Manual Concrete Design and the ACI Manual Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
