Location:
Pittsburgh, PAJob Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000 to $140,000 per year Design schools, shopping centers, and commercial buildings across Greater Pittsburgh at a growing consulting firm where senior engineers mentor you and you help lead others.
Must-Haves Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentrationEIT certification, with a PE license or ability to obtain one in a reasonable timeframe
Strong knowledge of building codes and structural design standards
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication with clients and project teams
What You'll DoDesign structural systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects
Perform analysis and calculations for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
Develop practical, economical, and innovative design solutions
Coordinate with architects and MEP, civil, and geotechnical engineers
Direct CAD and Revit designers on construction documents
Review drawings for quality and completeness before submission
Conduct site visits and field observations
Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction administration
Manage multiple projects, schedules, and budgets
Mentor and guide junior team members
Nice-to-Haves3+ years of structural engineering experience in a consulting firmPE licenseRAM Structural System / RAM Steel, ENERCALC, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit Code knowledge including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, NDS, and TMSConstruction administration experience
Compensation and Benefits $90,000 to $140,000 per year Mentorship from senior engineers
