The Advanced Workflow Specialist-Widefield is responsible for providing technical pre- and post-sales support for all advanced microscopy products. Support will be provided to Leica’s Life Science Research customers and Account Managers in all facets of their selling activities. The AWS-W will perform product demonstrations, troubleshooting and training sessions with end customers and sales reps.
This role will also handle demonstration system logistics and confirm correct system functionality as well as perform successful product demonstrations to drive advanced widefield system sales.
This position reports to the Advanced Workflow Specialist Manager, is part of the Life Science Research team, and will be field-based/working REMOTELY covering the Central US this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive sales growth by delivering high-quality product demonstrations of widefield systems and applying technical expertise to advance opportunities and increase order conversion.
Partner closely with Account Managers and the AWS team maintaining regular communication, joint account planning, and alignment on pipeline priorities.
Provide expert application, product, software, and technical support throughout the customer journey, including training and troubleshooting.
Develop, validate, and execute imaging protocols and demonstration activities, ensuring systems are optimized and tailored to customer applications and research needs.
Generate customer insights, application data, and best practices while leveraging DBS principles to improve processes, strengthen solution differentiation, and enhance customer experience.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelors degree in the life sciences or optics field2+ years in a research environment, regularly applying microscopy and digital imaging techniques OR imaging analysis
Teaching or training experience, providing training and advice on how to use imaging equipment and techniques to solve scientific questions
Familiarity with biological imaging applications; fluorescence, microscopy and optics experience highly valued
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
This position requires the ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 15 lbs. unassisted.
This position requires up to 70% flying and/or driving travel, which may potentially include overnight stays.…
