Family Law Attorney

Job Description

Noteworthy Las Cruces firm is seeking a Family Law attorney to join the team. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow alongside the area's top practitioners.

Job Responsibilities ;

• Manage assigned caseload independently and efficiently
• Draft and respond to correspondence
• Prepare pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation and trial briefs
• Propound and respond to discovery
• Telephone and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel and the courts
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions and trials
• Track billable time
• Assist the supervising attorneys in all phases of the practice
• 1850 billable hours per year

Qualifications;

• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the New Mexico Bar
• 3+ Years Practicing Family Law
• Empathetic, and level-headed demeanor to properly handle sensitive family law matters
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and analytical skills,
• Excellent writing and legal research skills
• Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
