Utility Technician
Operate, monitor, and maintain building utility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards. Objectives include supporting plant operations by maintaining critical equipment such as chillers, water treatment systems, boilers, and compressed air systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities encompass troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, system testing, documentation, and participating in safety and operational initiatives.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED
- State Stationary Engineer Seal or equivalent certification
- At least six months of specialized training in power plant or HVAC operations
- Minimum three years of recent full-time experience operating industrial power plant equipment (e.g., chillers, water systems, boilers)
- Military-equivalent power plant experience
- Operating large centrifugal chillers (>600 tons)
- High purity water systems
- Electrical generators
- Knowledge of hazardous energy lockout procedures

Work environmentWork environment involves heavy lifting, confined spaces, and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
Shift workShift work across day, evening, and night shifts; travel is not required.
CollaborationCollaboration involves working with maintenance team members, engineering, and plant personnel to ensure utility systems support manufacturing operations.
