Repair Assistant

Pay: $18.75–$22.50/hour (DOE)

Hours: 2nd Shift – Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (flexible)

Schedule Options:
Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts

Overview

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Depot Repair Assistant to support the cleaning, decontamination, packaging and basic refurbishment of medical devices in a repair center.

This is a hands‑on, entry‑level opportunity ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, packaging, cleaning or general maintenance. Recent graduates and individuals re‑entering the workforce are encouraged to apply. Previous medical device experience is not required, and candidates with transferable skills will be considered.

Required Skills
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning, decontamination and safety procedures.
  • Comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves and other protective gear.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
  • Ability to perform hands‑on cleaning, packaging and equipment‑handling tasks.
  • Dependability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work a flexible second‑shift schedule.
Job Description
  • Clean and decontaminate incoming medical devices following established safety procedures.
  • Wear company‑provided PPE while performing decontamination and cleaning activities.
  • Inspect incoming equipment for damage, fluid spills, necessary repairs and upgrades.
  • Assist technicians with basic repair activities and cosmetic restoration of equipment.
  • Document incoming and outgoing equipment using Oracle, Service Alliance and Microsoft Office.
  • Prepare packaging and package refurbished devices for shipment.
  • Prepare and ship return packaging to customers upon request.
  • Deliver packaged finished goods to the warehouse.
  • Assist with disassembling scrap equipment, salvaging reusable components and preparing parts for refurbishment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Follow ISO 14001 requirements and internal environmental management procedures.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, packaging, cleaning, maintenance or equipment refurbishment.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools or mechanical equipment.
  • Experience following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in environments requiring PPE and strict safety procedures.
