Plumber

The Plumber performs a variety of plumbing, construction, repair, and maintenance services in and around the buildings of the hospital complex. Routinely trouble shoots and repairs problems with buildings plumbing. Responsible for documentation of work orders and scheduled maintenance as it pertains to Life Safety and other regulatory agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Maintains, tests, and repairs all life safety systems. IE sprinkler tests, eye wash, and emergency showers.

+ Maintains, tests, repairs existing piping systems, drain, waste and vent systems, potable waters systems, and medical gas delivery systems.

+ Assists other trades as appropriate or assigned by management.

+ Accurately requisitions materials, maintains files and records. Records time and material expended.

+ Maintain a clean safe work environment, including storage and shop areas.

+ Responsible for timely completion of work orders, Preventative Maintenance, Logs, Performance testing and other documentation.

+ Removes snow and ice.

+ High school diploma in Trade or Vocational School degree plus four years apprenticeship.

+ 3 years of experience in a related field required. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Back flow certification, and Med Gas 6040 Certification required.

+ Plumber's License required.

+ Driver's License.

+ Clearances with renewal:

+ Act 31, 33, 34, & 73
