Position Overview

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we’re seeking an energetic and motivated individual to positively impact our patients' oral health. This fast‑paced environment offers new challenges and opportunities every day.

Base pay between $23 – $30 per hour, with competitive base pay plus an annual bonus.

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care.
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Florida:
  Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Georgia: CPR certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements as per state regulations.
• Michigan: upon hiring, furnish evidence of X‑ray training certification; if not possessed at hiring, an 8‑week period to submit it is granted.
• New Jersey: proof of X‑ray training.
• New York: not applicable.
• Ohio: proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Texas: CPR certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.

• Two or more years of previous dental assisting experience or relevant education.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.
