We are seeking a highly qualified and board-certified Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Pittsfield, MA. This role offers a flexible schedule with no call requirements, allowing for an excellent work-life balance. The position involves a mix of outpatient care with occasional inpatient consultations, providing a diverse range of clinical experiences.

• Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
• Shift Type: Days (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM)
• Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient consultations
• Location: Near Pittsfield, MA

• Outpatient Consultations: You will manage a daily patient load of 10-13 patients, a mix of new patients and follow-ups.
• Inpatient Consults: Although primarily outpatient, you may be asked to perform 0-1 inpatient consults per day.
• Procedures: Responsibilities include performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Electrical Cardioversions, and Electrocardiograms (EKGs).
• Supervision: The Cardiologist will work alongside an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and in a group of 8 Cardiologists. Other Cardiologists will be present during the locum coverage for collaboration.

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (ABIM).
• License: Active Massachusetts medical license is highly preferred, though we are willing to consider candidates who are in the process of obtaining one.
• Certifications: Candidates must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications from either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
• COVID Vaccination: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
• Clean Background: A clean background is essential for quick credentialing, with no exceptions.

• Call Ratio: There are no call requirements for this position.
• Support Staff: You will work with a team that includes 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP), ensuring that patient care is well-supported.
• Patient Demographics: This role will primarily focus on adult and geriatric patients, providing comprehensive cardiology care.
• EMR System: The facility uses Meditech Expanse for electronic medical records, and familiarity with this system is preferred but not mandatory.
