Sleep Medicine Physician

Berkshire Medical Center, a leading 298-bed community teaching hospital and the flagship facility of Berkshire Health Systems, is seeking a Board-Certified Sleep Medicine Physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This opportunity offers a well-supported outpatient environment with a collaborative team and advanced diagnostic technology. The client welcomes providers who are not yet licensed in Massachusetts and will support those willing to obtain state licensure.

Outpatient Sleep Disorders Clinic

Assignment Details:

• Duration: December 1, 2025 June 1, 2026

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

• Patient Volume: patients/day

• Population: 90% Adult 10% Pediatric

• Support Staff:

  • 1 MA

  • 3 Customer Service/Schedulers

  • Home Study & CPAP Coordinator

  • Day and Night Supervisors

  • 4 In-Lab Technicians

• Technology:

  • Home Studies:
    Nox

  • In-Lab Studies:
    Cadwell

  • EMR:
    Meditech

Conditions Treated Include:
Obstructive and Central Sleep Apnea, Insomnia, Hypersomnia, Narcolepsy, Restless Legs Syndrome, Circadian Rhythm Disorders, Parasomnias, Bruxism, and Snoring.

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Sleep Medicine (ABMS-recognized) or Neurology with Sleep Medicine training

• Active MA license or willingness to obtain
  - We will help with MA licensure!

• BLS certification
  - We can help with Life Support Certification!

Compensation & Logistics:

• Travel Reimbursed: Flight, hotel, rental car, or mileage

• Malpractice: Provided

• Orientation Pay: Hourly

• OT/Holiday Rate: 1.5x hourly
