Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Urology in Pittsfield, MA

Are you a skilled Urology physician looking for an engaging temporary opportunity to make a difference in patient care? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Urology Physician to provide inpatient services within a dynamic hospital setting.

This role offers the chance to collaborate with a talented team of urologists, contribute to comprehensive urological care, and enjoy flexible scheduling all while earning competitive compensation.

In this vital position, you will cover a full spectrum of urology services including general urology and inpatient surgeries without on-call responsibilities. The assignment involves working during varied shifts, primarily from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in a hospital-based inpatient environment, with all inpatient care conducted onsite. You will work alongside a team of five urologists, providing high-quality services and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.

Key skills and qualifications include:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid licensure in Massachusetts
  • Board certification or eligibility in Urology
  • Proven experience in general urology and inpatient surgical procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred qualifications enhancing your candidacy:
  • Prior experience in hospital-based urology practice
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic documentation systems
  • Additional anesthesia or surgical certification(s)
Educational and professional experience:
  • Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
  • Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Other requirements:
  • Availability to start from February 2, 2026, through March 31, 2026
  • Willingness to travel and cover expenses such as flights, accommodations, and car rentals, with reimbursements aligned with IRS standards
  • Onsite laboratory services and collaboration with other urologists during the assignment
