The Professional Solutions team works with our customers one‑on‑one, developing professional relationships based on trust and care.
General FunctionThe Order Specialist ensures orders are entered and released properly, updates any information according to instruction on orders, distributes orders that need to be reviewed internally for release, and monitors incoming faxes and individual lab requests.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Manages reporting; distribution; order release.
- Works with incoming requests from all departments – e.g., credit, distribution, discounts, sales operations.
- Enters manual orders for off price; internal order entry requests; instances when the order could not be entered electronically.
- Monitors orders with promotions; ensures promotional requirements are met and takes proper action on orders.
- Maintains communication with labs directly and handles all lab order processing from incoming faxes.
- Oversees tracking inquiries & manifests.
- Multitasks on multiple projects.
- Prioritizes and understands when to bring escalated issues to management.
- Maintains a 24–48 hour turn‑around time for all incoming requests.
- Associate's Degree
- 2+ years related work experience
- Strong PC skills; proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently AND within a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Takes initiative
- Innovative thinking
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all levels of internal leadership and staff
- Places a high priority on responsiveness
- SAP knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
