Teller – Position at Greylock Federal Credit Unit

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Teller Supervisor, perform a variety of teller and member services in conformance with Credit Union policies.
  • Accurately process member transactions in accordance with cash handling procedures and policy (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, etc.).
  • Balance cash, work station, and ensure proper documentation is signed and stamped at end of day.
  • Actively cross‑sell and provide information about Credit Union products and services.
  • Promote branch business development and broaden member base.
  • Respond to member inquiries and refer to Member Services as needed.
  • Adhere to branch security practices and guidelines (secure work station, keys, combinations, key‑card and member information).
  • Organize work station, inventory cash/coin, request currency and hand count upon receipt.
  • Keep abreast of ongoing changes and job knowledge through comprehension exercises, questionnaires and the GOLD/BVS courses.
  • Participate in sales campaigns and in‑branch coaching.
  • Use Greylock’s principles of Relationship Decisioning.
  • Promote the Credit Union wherever possible and represent it in local civic, community and professional organizations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months cash‑handling experience in a financial or service‑related position preferred.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively service high volume of transactions.
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude toward members and co‑workers.
  • Proficiency with office equipment, software, spreadsheet applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
