Phlebotomist/Registrar – Berkshire Health Systems

Berkshire Health Systems is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Registrar to accurately identify patients, order and label specimens, and coordinate specimen processing in a hospital setting.

• Perform venipunctures and related procedures on patients of all ages with accuracy and professionalism.
• Accurately identify patients, test orders, and test requirements to ensure correct specimen collection.
• Coordinate and process all specimens, maintaining strict adherence to labeling, quality control and confidentiality.
• Maintain proper operation and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Assist with training of students in phlebotomy skills.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist; hospital experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy trained; no license or certification required.
• Typing ability of 40 words per minute and strong computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of flexibility and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to interact appropriately with staff, physicians, and patients.
• English language proficiency for clear communication.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license preferred.
