The Health Educator will provide health education programs to the community, local businesses and BMC/BHS employees in support of the philosophy and objectives of BMC/BHS and with supervision from the Director of Maternal/Child Health.
Childbirth Education classes 3 hours each week for 4 weeks.
Definition/Primary FunctionThe Health Educator will provide health education programs to the community, local businesses and BMC/BHS employees in support of the philosophy and objectives of BMC/BHS and with supervision from the Director of Maternal/Child Health.
Position Qualifications- Experience:
One year successful teaching of adults in health promotion preferred. Two years in health education, nursing or related field required. - Education and Training: BS in nursing, health education or related field preferred. Certification in specialties preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration:
Certification in nationally recognized prepared childbirth education program preferred. - Other Requirements:
Excellent presentation skills, good organizational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, ability to relate well to a variety of persons, CPR certified
