Nutritionist​/Dietitian

Job Description

Part‑time (20 hours per week) position for a Massachusetts‑licensed dietitian or nutritionist. This role is a dynamic opportunity to share knowledge through one‑on‑one counseling, public presentations and writing.

• Conduct nutritional assessments and counseling from referrals via home visits, telemedicine and/or phone consultations.
• Provide nutrition education within the Berkshire community to consumers and staff through community venues; submit lesson plans, handouts, and evaluation tools as required.
• Contributor to the Berkshire Senior newspaper and agency’s go‑to person for all matters surrounding nutrition.
• Member of menu design team ensuring nutrition standards are met.
• Timely reporting; nutrient analysis; site inspections; and leading ongoing trainings for staff and volunteers.

• Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition, public health nutrition, or nutrition education from an accredited program and at least 1 year of community nutrition experience.
• OR Associate degree in food and nutrition and at least 2 years of community nutrition experience.
• Must hold a Massachusetts Licensed Dietitian (LDN) credential. Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Leadership ability; independent thinker; self‑starter.
• Demonstrated team‑building skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and using databases.

Part‑time – $28.18 – $31.00 per hour.
